send over your income proof and bank statements and will obtain an ‘Agreement In Principle (AIP) for you. This is a document from a lender that will confirm the amount a lender would be willing to lend to you, subject to a valuation of the property and them reviewing your application. It will be required by any estate agent when making an offer, and sometimes, prior to viewing a property.
