Members of the team at one of Barking and Dagenham’s leading firms of mortgage advisors are set to jump in the saddle for a bike ride to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Five members of the team at Home of Mortgages, including Managing Director, Michael O’Brien, will be getting on their bikes on Sunday 16 July for the 50-mile East End to Southend cycle ride in a bid to raise £2,000 for the charity.
Michael will be taking part along with colleagues, Ryan Gruzinski, Jonathan Pitt, Lucy Franklin and Jagmal Singh. The Access team will be joined by Tony Wright, Kenny Brennan, Chris Wells and Terry Mowles. Together, they have been dubbed “The Bikely Lot”.
Michael said: “We are already well underway with preparations for the event and I know that the whole team is looking forward to the challenge, perhaps tinged with a sense of trepidation for some of the more novice riders.
“We were keen to find a way to raise funds for Cancer Research UK as this year has seen many of our close friends and family affected by cancer.
“As a team we have seen and felt first-hand the pain this can cause and we wanted to play our part in a small way to help eradicate this disease.”
